Arvind Kejriwal was laughing at PM Modi During COVID19 meeting, now says "Delhi's Health Infrastructure is Collapsing" and he needs Centers help.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday gave an update on the Covid-19 situation in the national capital. "There is a shortage of ICU beds in Delhi. Less than 100 vacant. There is a shortage of oxygen too," CM Kejriwal said.
Addressing the people of Delhi virtually today, CM Kejriwal said, the Covid-19 positivity rate in Delhi has crossed 30%. "Positivity rate increased from 24% to 30% in the last 24 hours," he added.
A few days back, CM Arvind was seen laughing and Yawning during meetings with PM Modi who was addressing all states and heads regarding the COVID19 situation, while his followers claimed an IITian doesn't need teaching from 'Chaiwala'
The Commonwealth Games Village, Yamuna Sports complex, Radha Swami Satsang Baes, and some schools will be converted into facilities for Covid-19 patients in Delhi. Besides, 6,000 new beds are expected in the coming days.
The chief minister said due to the fast pace of increasing COVID-19 infections, hospital beds and oxygen for patients are depleting fast in the city on the verge of collapsing health infrastructure.
The Centre should reserve at least 7,000 of 10,000 beds in hospitals run by it in Delhi as COVID beds and ensure immediate supply of oxygen, he said.
Kejriwal on Sunday said that he spoke to Union Home Minister Amit Shah on phone and told him his needs during this critical situation of rising COVID19 cases in Delhi.
The clinics that were made by AAP are of no use anymore since they did not build a single hospital in Delhi for 5 years during their first tenure between 2015 and 2019 as per the Latest RTI filed.
According to Bulani, the Directorate of Health Services, Delhi, said that "according to information available in Hospital cell of DGHS, it is informed that no new hospital has been commissioned under Delhi government, during the period from April 2015 to 31st March 2019."
RTI pleas filed by one Tejpal Singh revealed that contrary to the tall claims made by the incumbent AAP government, no hospital had been commissioned, nor had any flyovers been constructed during that tenure in Delhi.
